Diane Avoli

Description
Diane Avoli has raised eight macrobiotic
children, and is the
grandmother of fourteen.
She started her Macrobiotic
studies in 1971 in upstate
New York and overcame a
serious health condition
through diet. She moved to
Massachusetts in 1973 and began studies
with the leading macrobiotic teachers in
the U.S.: Michio and Aveline Kushi,
Cornelia Aihara and Lima Ohsawa. Along
with her husband, Joe, she ran a
macrobiotic study house and a teaching
center. Diane was certified as a Senior
Macrobiotic Teacher and Counselor by
the Kushis. Diane is a regular teacher
and counselor at the Kushi Institute in
Becket MA. She has taught around the
US, Canada, the Netherlands and
Australia. She is the author of A Chef for
All Seasons, A practical. two-week
Macrobiotic menu plan. She has trained
others to become teachers and was on
the Macrobiotic Teacher Certification
Board.
