Cottrell is a licensed
physician in New York and
Board Certified in Family
Medicine. She is a cum
laude graduate of Mercer
University, Macon, Ga. and graduate of
Woman’s Medical College of
Pennsylvania. She was a research
associate in cholesterol metabolism at
Wistar Institute, Philadelphia., Pa. and a
Fellow in Preventive Medicine at Mt.
Sinai School of Medicine, N.Y., N.Y.
Dr. Cottrell has practiced the Philosophy
of Macrobiotics in her own life and in her
medical practice for 31 years. She coauthored
“AIDS: Macrobiotics and
Natural Immunity” with Michio Kushi and
has traveled and lectured worldwide
with him. She currently lives in
Asheville, N.C. and continues this work.
